Fit-Kit is an automotive term refering to a kit of parts which allows a change, upgrade or modification to be carried out quickly and easily i.e. it removes the need for the vast majority of engineering or manufacture.

The Booster Fit-Kit is designed around this ethos. Essentially it provides everything which is difficult or challenging to engineer significantly reducing the complexity and difficulty of fitting an 06A 20V engine into a 986 Boxster.

By the same approach it does not include any components which are easily available off the shelf, either as standard production components or as widely available aftermarket components. The enhanced fit-kit includes a full and complete bill of materials that identifies, lists and even provides part numbers where appropriate for all of these off the shelf components.

Where a standard component is used but modified to suit, this modification is detailed in the manual included with the enhanced kit and where required includes drawings, process and step by step guides to achieve the modification.

The only components which are not identified or included in the fit-kit are those which are absolutely application dependant i.e. will be vastly different depending on the power requirement the builder has. What this means in practice is that the choice of turbo charger and associated components (charge cooling, exhaust manifold, downpipe and exhaust) are entirely at the builders selection - although the manual provides guidance on component choice, sizing and general packaging requirement.
